How to Set Up Email Forwarding
Email forwarding lets you automatically send copies of incoming messages from one Nili email address to another.
This guide shows you how to set up forwarding through your BlueJay Webmail. No technical experience is needed.
Step 1 – Log in to Webmail
- Go to webmail.nili.ca.
- Enter your email address and password, then click Log in.
Tip: If you use a direct cPanel link (for example
yourdomain.ca:2096), you can still follow the same steps below.
Step 2 – Open the Webmail Home Page
After logging in, you’ll see your mailbox options.
If you’re already inside BlueJay Webmail, click the Webmail Home link (left-middle menu) to return to the main webmail home screen.
Step 3 – Open the Forwarders Tool
On the Webmail Home page, look for the Forwarders option and click it.
This tool lets you create a rule to send copies of incoming emails to another address.
Step 4 – Create an Email Account Forwarder
- Click Add Forwarder.
- In the field provided, enter the destination address you want your mail sent to (for example,
[email protected]). - Click Add Forwarder again to save.
That’s it! Your emails will now automatically forward to the address you entered.
Step 5 – Test the Forwarder
Send a test email to your Nili address.
Check that it appears in the inbox of the destination address you set.
If the message arrives there, your forwarding is active.
Notes and Tips
- Keep a copy: All forwarded messages remain on the Nili server by default unless you delete them.
- Forward to one address: If you want to send mail to multiple addresses, repeat the steps to add additional forwarders.
- Check your quota: Forwarding doesn’t reduce mailbox size — if your inbox is full, new mail won’t forward until you clear space.
- Stop forwarding: To remove a forwarder, return to the Forwarders page and click Delete next to the address.
