Before cleaning up your disk space, please get a backup of your messages.
You can use an email application such as Thunderbird, set it up to connect to your Nili email and download all your messages to your local device.
After making sure you have a copy of all your messages, it’s time to clean up some disk space.
You can generally delete all your messages from Nili servers or only delete messages based on their sizes, ages or senders. Here we recommend two approaches:
Free up all space
If you use the email application for your day-to-day usage of Nili email, you can delete all email messages coming to your inbox from Nili servers.
Although each email application has a different setting, here is the screenshot of Thunderbird. It will work if you have to uncheck the option.
Free up partially
You can also use Nili Webmail and search for large files or old messages and delete them. In this approach, you will keep some messages in your allocated disk space.
- Login to Nili webmail https://webmail.nili.ca; the username is your Nili email, and the password might be different from what you chose for Nili Client Area (https://my.nili.ca/login)
- If you are direct with the webmail, visit Webmail Home on the top-right menu.
- From the top menu, select Manage Disk Usage.
- You can check which folder took most of your disk space and delete messages.
